A pure copper wire figure tightly wrapped and detailed with Apoxie, Tori is bound to a yard stick and mounted on a solid hardwood block.

This piece addresses the universally experienced pressures to live up to others expectations. An anonymous party diligently applies a neutral paint, working to make her fit their views of what an acceptable woman should be. The figure is adorned in rainbow colors to more specifically address feelings of rejection in the LGBT+ community.

Tori was created specifically for a group show at the Equality Center in Tulsa OK.   The entry was awarded first place.  She was accepted into the Artists of NW Arkansas Regional Exhibition, a competitive show accepting entries from five states, and has also been shown at the Black Wall Street Gallery of Tulsa's Greenwood District.
